Design for daily use
A finish that looks great in a photo is not always one you will enjoy cleaning. Small mosaic tile with a bold grout color, for example, often turns into regret within months. We talk through how each choice will look after a year of daily use before you finalize your selections.
Groutless and low-maintenance options
Full-size slabs on shower walls and floors are now a popular option. With almost no grout lines there is far less to scrub, and the finished shower looks seamless. We also carry surfaces that resist stains and wipe clean.
Waterproofing
We build showers on an XPS foam waterproofing system. The few calls we have had about leaks over the years traced back to something other than our waterproofing. Shower waterproofing carries our 10-year warranty.
How a project works
- Step 1
Free on-site visit
We look at the space, take photos and measurements, and talk through what you want. There is no charge.
- Step 2
Initial proposal
A written quote that includes as much of the complete job as possible, so you see a realistic total early.
- Step 3
Design meeting
You meet with us at the San Marcos Design Center to choose layouts, materials, colors and finishes.
- Step 4
Final proposal
An updated proposal based on your selections. We refine it with you until it is right.
- Step 5
Materials and scheduling
Materials are ordered once the contract is signed. Their availability sets the start date.
- Step 6
Construction
Demolition, then the build, through to the final walkthrough.
Warranty
- Workmanship: lifetime. If our installation was done wrong, we fix it.
- Waterproofing and structural work: 10 years.
- Products and fixtures: we honor the manufacturer warranty, file the claim for you, and install the replacement parts.
- Inspection visits for our customers are free.
Permits
If your project needs a permit, the proposal includes it: drawings, architect and engineer site visits, plan corrections, city fees, and our follow-up with the city until the permit is issued.

- What warranty do you give on showers?
- 10 years on shower waterproofing, plus lifetime coverage on our workmanship. Fixtures and materials carry their manufacturer warranty, and we handle any claims for you.

- How much does a bathroom remodel cost?
- It depends on the size of the room and the materials you choose. After a free on-site visit we give you a written proposal for the complete job.
